Northend United 0 Tollymore United 6 Saturday 10th December 2016
This was a test for the Northend lads as they took on the League leaders Tollymore on a day when they fielded a depleted squad after some early call offs. The Northend boys started well and they could and probably should have taken the lead with Ben O'Brien coming close early on after great work from Conor McAuley.
Tollymore were awarded a penalty after fifteen minutes but an inspirational save from David Gregg in the Northend nets kept the Northend boys level in the game. However it wasn't too long before Tollymore opened the scoring with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box.
Northend should have had a penalty after twenty minutes of the half when Mateusz Las was upended in the box, following a great break from midfield, but the referee failed to spot the infringement. Some bad defending resulted in Tollymore scoring a second goal in the final minutes of the half. Half time 0-2
Northend were still up for this and Dylan King came close to scoring on 2 occasions. However, Tollymore scored a third after some good play on the edge of the Northend box. Gregg pulled off some cracking saves as Tollymore up'ed the tempo in the game but great defending from Ryan McQuillan and Caolan Lennon frustrated them . However, with a small panel on the day, The Blues began to tire towards the end of the match and in the last 15 minutes, Tollymore scored 3 unstoppable goals .
The lads have made a massive improvement since the start of the season and should be proud of themselves. Full time 0-6

Banbridge Town 6 Northend United 0 Saturday 19th November 2016
Northend never really reached their good performances of the last few weeks in this match against Banbridge Town and started this match on the back foot. However, the midfield began to claw their way back into this match with Conor McAuley pulling the strings for the Blues. Adam Campbell was looking dangerous on the break for Northend and could have given them the lead after ten minutes. However, with the chance going abegging, it wasn't long before Banbridge scored their first goal midway through the match. This goal lifted Banbridge and following a defensive lapse, they added a second goal minutes before half time. Half time 2-0
The Blues never really got going in the second half after they conceded a third goal minutes after half time. Banbridge went on to run in another three goals before the end of the match. Final score 6-0

Northend United 4 Lisburn Distillery 1 Saturday 12th November 2016
This was a game in which Northend had to win but Distillery should have went one up in the first five minutes when a goalkeepking blunder let in the Distillery forward but they failed to convert.
This spurred on Northend and they came close when Ciaran Martin's shot went wide. Adam Campbell came close a minute later and the lads started to play some good football and when Conor McAuley found Campbell on the left his first time shot hit the back off the net
Distillery kept on playing some good football but with Pearse Esler, Ryan McQuillan and Caolan Lennon very strong in defence Distillery found it hard to break them down
Northend scored their second goal when the inform Jamie Mongomery crossed for Matty Las to get his second goal in two starts . Nearly staight from the kick off the ball was won by Ciaran Martin who laid it of to man of the match Dylan King, who in turn beat the out coming defence to slot the ball home. Half time 3-0
Northend started the second half slowly and Distillery should have scored but Jamie Mongomery again was on had to mop up the danger. In a good spell for Northend, Adam Campbell, Ciaran Martin, Jamie Montgomery and Conor McAuley, all came close to scoring again but against the run of play, Distillery broke upfield and scored.
This seemed to lift Northend and Caolan Kearney in midfield started to pick his passes and it wasn't too long until super striker Campbell scored his second and Northend's fourth. Mongomery again with his strong running and great feet work came close to extending Northend's lead as did Dylan King after great play from Mateusz Jan and Conor McAuley. Full time 4-1

Portadown Youth 3 Northend United 3 Saturday 5th November 2016
Northend started this match on the front foot with new signing Matt Las causing the Portadown defence all sorts of problems. However it wasn't too long until Adam Campbell scored to make it 1-0 for the Blues
Northend was still pressing with Connor McAuley outstanding in midfield when he threaded a throughball to Ciaran Martin, whose shot was saved by the Portadown keeper however good following up by Matt Jan resulted in goal number two.
Northend should have had a penalty ten minutes from half time after Campbell was blatantly shoved inside the box. Half time 0-2
Portadown started the second half well but great defending from Ryan McQuillan and Pearse Esler and exellent goalkeeping from David Gregg kept them out. Conor McAuley was running the midfield stroking the ball around well when he found Adam Campbell who outpaced the Lisburn defence and scored his second and Northend's third of the match.
Portadown started to get into the game and scored after a bad defensive mistake seemed to spur them on and they scored again when Northend didn't clear the ball. Campbell, McQuillan and McAuley all came close for Northend but a final mistake led to the Portadown equaliser. Full time 3-3
